Seth McMillan wants voters to remember where state Sen. Andy Manar (D-Bunker Hill) stands on the issue of abortion.
“This is sad,” he recently posted on Facebook. “My opponent supported the expansion of taxpayer funded abortion in Illinois.”
McMillan’s reminder to voters was sparked by an Illinois News Network report that found that the number of taxpayer-funded abortions are up by nearly four times over the first six months of this year compared to the same time last year and the numbers are expected to keep rising.

Since abortion expansion bill HB 40 became the law of the land, the report added that the number of taxpayer-funded abortions jumped from 84 from January to June of 2017 to 314 over the same six-month period this year.
McMillan previously told the South Central Reporter that Manar as a “fake” who has claimed to be pro-life and against a tax hike only to later “flip-flop” on both issues by voting with Democrats.
McMillan is leaving no stone unturned in his plan to make certain that 48th Senate District voters know who he is and what he stands for before November’s general election.
“Great turnout in Bunker Hill tonight,” he recently posted on Facebook following a meet-and-greet he held with voters. “Lots of good folks looking for a new direction in Illinois. Thanks to State Representative Avery Bourne for attending and thanks to everyone who came out in the heat.”
