Seth McMillan wants residents of his 48th Senate District to know he’s all about working for the community.
McMillan recently posted pictures on his Facebook page of him volunteering on the Lutheran School Association of Decatur greenhouse project.
“The water and electric was [sic] installed,” McMillan wrote. “Another tool to teach students about agriculture in Decatur. My company has donated labor and equipment toward the project.”
Running against incumbent Sen. Andy Manar (D-Bunker Hill), McMillan regularly crisscrosses the district, meeting and greeting voters in his effort to hammer home his point of how much better his leadership would be for the community.
At a later campaign rally where other GOP candidates were also on hand, he captioned another Facebook photo “supporting our next attorney general Erika Harold in Litchfield tonight with State Representative Avery Bourne and Montgomery county candidates.”
A small business owner, McMillan has presented himself as the non-establishment candidate dedicated to lowering taxes and being willing to slice legislative pay by as much as 50 percent.
