School discipline: Which South Central Illinois districts reported the most suspensions due to dangerous weapons?

Salem Community High School District 600, Wesclin Community Unit School District 3 and Northwestern Community Unit School District 2 reported the highest rate of students suspended for reasons related to a dangerous weapon during the 2016-17 school year in South Central Illinois, according to the latest report from the Illinois State Board of Education.

In this analysis, the incident rate is calculated by dividing the number of incidents by district enrollment.
