Macoupin County voters approve two ballot questions, reject two others

Macoupin County voters have approved two ballot questions but rejected two others. Here is a rundown on how they voted.

Taxpayers in Macoupin County voted for a referendum calling for the Fosterburg Water District Question. 

The question on whether trustees of the Fosterburg Water District should be elected instead of appointed won approval. 

With 100 percent of the votes counted, Fosterburg Water District Question had 667 votes in favor and 79 against.

Voters in Macoupin County voted against a referendum on the Medora Shipman Ambulance Service. 

With 100 percent of the votes counted, the Medora Shipman Ambulance Service Advisory Question had 441 votes in favor and 599 against.

Taxpayers in Macoupin County voted for a referendum calling for the North Palmyra Tonwnship proposition. With 100 percent of the votes counted, the North Palmyra Township had 183 votes in favor and 156 against.

Voters rejected a referendum called the County Advisory Question. With 100 percent of the votes counted, the County Advisory Question had 5,311 votes in favor and 12,395 against.
