Q2 real estate sales report: Staunton

Median prices rose in Staunton over last year, and are down 27.1 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to second quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From April to June, 22 homes sold in Staunton for a median price of $64,000. That's 19.5 percent higher than median home sale prices for the second quarter of 2017.

In the second quarter, there were no foreclosures in Staunton.

Median property tax for homeowners in Staunton was $1,110.15 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 2.1 percent of their home's value in taxes.
