HSHS Holy Family Hospital issued the following announcement on Jan. 11.
Local community members are invited to attend HSHS Holy Family Hospital’s Winter Nutrition Series. Brooke Lipe, Registered, Licensed Dietitian, will host a series of four nutrition education classes at no cost to attendees.
This series of four classes will run every Tuesday from January 22 to February 12 in the Cedar Community Room at Holy Family Hospital Greenville from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Details and topics for each class are as follows:
January 22 - Plan Smarter, Shop Smarter: Learn how to navigate the grocery store for better health while maintaining a budget
January 29 - The Facts on Fat: Identifying fat types that decrease or increase the rate of cardiovascular disease
February 5 - Cut Added Sugars: Learn recommended daily limit for added sugars and where added sugars most often come from
February 12 - Cooking Demo: Cooking heart-healthy recipes for American Heart Month
