Report: Iuka spent $9,838 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Iuka Community Consolidated School District 7 is up 10.8 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Marion County school district spent $8,880 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,838 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 228 to 226.

Iuka's spending in 2017-18 was 26.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
