Ordinance – An Ordinance re: Converting Water and Sewer Rates from Cubic Feet to Gallons

Resolution – A Resolution Waiving Competition for Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Services for Certain City Projects

Motion to ratify contract with Tullis Excavating for Sewer Work for Steak N Shake project at a cost of $19.20 per foot

Motion to authorize the Mayor to sign and execute the business agreements with potential Enterprise Zone companies with approval of the City Attorney and any other motions relating thereto

Motion to waive the certification fee from the companies making the agreements with the County, City of Taylorville and Christian County Economic Development (with stipulation of waiver from the other two entities) and any other motions relating thereto

Motion to approve the Mayor to execute the agreement with WCR Enterprise, LTD. to prepare the new Enterprise Zone application and any other motions relating thereto

Finance –

Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve the proposed Ordinance extending the authorization to Ameren Illinois for 10 years to construct, operate and maintain an electric utility system in the City of Taylorville

Ordinance – An Ordinance extending the authorization to Ameren Illinois Company d/b/a Ameren Illinois It’s Successors and Assigns to Construct, Operate, and Maintain an Electric Utility System

Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve the proposed Ordinance extending the authorization to Ameren Illinois for 10 years to construct, operate and maintain a gas utility system in the City of Taylorville

Ordinance – An Ordinance extending the authorization to Ameren Illinois Company d/b/a Ameren Illinois It’s Successors and Assigns to Construct, Operate, and Maintain a Gas Utility System

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Mayor Barry to contact City Attorney Romano to formulate the appropriate motions regarding this process and place these motions on the March 4, 2019 City Council Meeting Agenda

Motion to recommend to the City Council to accept the Treasurer’s Report as presented

Ordinance –

Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve the draft Ordinance as prepared by the City Attorney restricting video gaming advertising banners, signage, etc. on or about the exterior and interior of the licensed premises with corrections to page 3 number 2 & 3 deleting the word square

Ordinance – An Ordinance amending Subparagraph A of Section 3-3-9 and Adding Subparagraph E to Section 3-3-13 to the Taylorville City Code (re: liquor license renewals and adding condition restricting video gaming advertising banners, signage, etc. on or about the exterior and interior of licensed premises)

Street and Sewer –

Motion to recommend to the City Council to direct the City Attorney to prepare an Ordinance for a “No Parking” sign for the South side of the 400 Block of West Poplar

Motion to recommend to the City Council to allow Superintendent Wiseman to seek bids for Fuel, Sidewalks, Curb and Gutter, and Concrete

Motion to recommend to the City Council to direct the City Attorney to prepare an Ordinance to sell the 98 Chevy 1⁄2 ton pickup, 98 Chevy 3⁄4 ton 4x4 and the 93 Chevy 1⁄2 ton pickup with a $300.00 minimum bid on each

Motion to recommend to the City Council to accept the 2-year bid for Trash Removal from Waste Management

Motion to approve and/or ratify payment of bills ($342,604.71)

• Per subparagraph (g) of 5 ILCS 120/2.06, this portion of the City Council Meeting is reserved for any person wishing to address the Council on any relevant subject matters concerning the City. The Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/1 et seq.) mandates NO action shall be taken on subject matters not listed on the agenda, but the Council may direct staff to address the topic or refer the subject matter to a future Council and/or Committee Meeting. If anyone wishes to address the Council, please provide your name and address, limit your comments or presentation to three (3) minutes, and avoid repetitious comments. Thank you.
