Coffeen home prices fall in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Coffeen fell by $50,500 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $34,000 - a 59.8% decrease over the $84,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Coffeen in the second quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Coffeen for 2017 was $743.60. In 2016, the median sales tax was $675.30. This marks an increase of 10.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
