Farmersville home prices fall in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Farmersville fell by $53,750 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $26,500 - a 67% decrease over the $80,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Farmersville in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Farmersville for 2017 was $1,519.95. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,502.70. This marks an increase of 1.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 5.7%.
