OLD BUSINESS:

Continue Efforts of Locust St Historical Fair Updates and Discussion of the Fair. Museum will have displays with the help of the CHS History Club. Car Show efforts are going will. Tourism Committee will be set up in City Hall. They do tours and have their information to give out. They’ll also handle the drink tickets for the Car Show participants. Preservation Group will be in the IL. Theatre and Kitty McMillan will have some of her Photography set up for viewing. Nobody had found any group or organization that would take on the Children’s Area. Not having luck with contact of Black Diamond for an Antique Motorcycle exhibit. Shoemaker has some items that he’d be willing to display, if a case can be used. He’ll be working with Allison and Mike at the History Museum to see what can be used. Harting let them know that she’d invite Stella Schilling and Karen Crouse to the next meeting as they would be the two doing the shuttle tours to Elmwood.

*Historic Preservation District Discussions-Tabled due to budget cuts and staff shortage in Springfield.
