Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Montgomery County?

There were 15 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Montgomery County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that 13 men and two women were released in Montgomery County. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jimmy S. Chenoweth. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2013 when he was 32 years old. He is now 38.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
