Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Christian County?

There were 13 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Christian County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that 10 men and three women were released in Christian County. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 45-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Matthew S. Tarrant. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016 when he was 26 years old. He is now 29.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Christian County municipality.
