Village of La Grange Board of Fire and Police Commissioners met May 15.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORpER AND ROLL QALL

A meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners (BOFPC) of the Village of La Grange was held on May 15,2019 in the lower level conference room of the Village Halland was called to order at 6:l I p.m.

PRESENT: (and constituting a quorum): Chairman Hoffenberg, Commissioner Kerpan and Commissioner Boersma.

ABSENT: None

ALSO PRESENT: Andrianna Peterson, Village Manager, Kevin Noreikis, Intem, Don Gay, Fire Chief, and Kurt Bluder, Police Chief

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES- APRIL 17.2019

The minutes of the April 17, 2019 meeting were presented for approval. After consideration, it was moved by Commissioner Boersma and seconded by Commissioner Kerpan that the minutes be

approved. Motion carried.

3. BUSINESS AT HAND

A. Amendment - Police Officer Final Eligibility Reqister - Chief'Bluder provided an update to the Commission regarding four candidates on the eligibility register (Mangiantini, Pech, Proctor and Bowman) who have either declined additional consideration in the hiring process for Police Officer or have been determined to be ineligible to continue in the hiring process. A motion was made by Commissioner Boersma and seconded by Commissioner Kerpan to strike the four individuals from the Police Officer Final Eligibility Register. Motion carried.

B. Oral Interviews - Police Officer - The Commission conducted oral interviews of the next two eligible individuals on the Police Officer Eligibility Register.

4. OLD BUSINESS

The Commission thanked Fire Chief Don Gay for his over thirty years of experience as he looks forward to retirement.

5. NEW BUSINESS

None.

6. PUBLIC COMMENT

None.

8. ADJOURNMENT

Since there was no further business before the Board ofFire and Police Commissioners, it was moved by Commissioner Boersma and seconded by Commissioner Kerpan that the meeting wasadjourned at 7:29 p.m.
