Village of Donnellson Village Board met June 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Pledge of Allegiance was led by Gary Long.

President Darrell Jett opened the meeting at 7:00 pm.

Roll Call Completed by Clerk/Treasurer Sheryl Reynolds: Present: President- Darrell Jett. Trustees- Pamella Short, Gary Long, Robert Hoxsey, Kenny Buckingham and Nelda Adkisson, Clerk/ Treasurer-Sheryl Reynolds, Water/Sewer Clerk-Diane Dankoski. Absent: Trustee Fran Jett, Chief of Police Wayne Watkins, Police Sgt. Dave Reno, Officer Taylor Hill and Meter Reader Mark Reynolds.

Meeting Minutes:

• Bob Hoxsey motioned to approve the minutes of the May 13, 2019 meeting.

The motion was seconded by Kenny Buckingham. All were in favor.

Treasurer's Report:

• Gary Long made a motion to accept the Treasurer's Report. The motion was seconded by Kenny Buckingham. All were in favor.

Monthly Bills:

• The monthly bill report was read by Clerk/Treasurer Sheryl Reynolds. A motion to accept the bills was made by Kenny Buckingham and seconded by Bob Hoxsey. All were in favor.

Clerk/Treasurer Concerns:

• Clerk/Treasurer reported that the yearly insurance rates came in with no increase. Also, she remarked that spring clean up went well.

Trustee Concerns: None

Water/Sewer Concerns: None

Policies and Practices: None

Public Comments:

• Norman Huisman thanked Mayor Jett and Brian White for the Memorial Day flag display. Also, he reported a street light out at State & Washington.

Roads and Parks:

• President Jett discussed plans to put road patch along Railroad Street and improving other streets throughout the village.

Police:

• Gary Long made a motion to accept the May Police Report. It was seconded by Pamella Short. All were in favor.

Ordinances: None

Grants:

• Clerk Diane Dankoski reported that the generator grant process would start in October with a pre-application.

Internal Financial Review:

• Clerk Diane Dankoski reported that the May review was perfect.

Old Business:

• President Jett did not have any updated information on the new water meter system.

• President Jett announced the town wide yard sale, to be held in conjunction with Sorento, on June 22, 2019 and June 23, 2019. Clerk/Treasurer Sheryl Reynolds reported that the PITOT gauge had been purchased. President Jett added the importance of testing the fire hydrants to be compliant and to keep insurance rates lower.

• President Jett reported that 2 fire hydrants had been replaced, with parts ordered for the remaining 2 non-working fire hydrants.

• President Jett thanked Kenny Buckingham for his labor on the pavilion picnic tables and those who donated the monies to purchase lumber.

New Business:

• Gary Long made a motion to bypass the purchase of a CD this month. The motion was seconded by Kenny Buckingham and passed with all ayes.

• Police Clerk Sheryl Reynolds gave a report concerning the new notices for village ordinance violations, to be hung on house windows and vehicle windshields

With no further business to discuss, Gary Long made a motion to adjourn; Pam Short seconded the motion, all in favor. The meeting adjourned at 7:22 pm.
