Staunton home prices fall in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Staunton fell by $250 while total sales decreased by 47.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 25 homes sold, with a median sale price of $84,000 - a 0.3% decrease over the $84,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 48 homes sold in Staunton in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Staunton for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,231, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
