CITY OF BREESE: Crooked Creek Bridge Re-Opened

Bridge

City of Breese issued the following announcement on Nov. 30.

Dear elected officials and municipalities,

With the reopening of Crooked Creek Bridge this weekend, we would like to celebrate with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Tuesday, December 3, at 8:30am. The Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce is working with City of Centralia Tourism and Clinton County Tourism and want to reach out to all municipalities that were affected by the bridge closure.

Everyone is invited to attend. We will be at Brookside Township lot just north of the Shattuc Road and Highway 161 intersection.

The bridge will be reopened by Sunday, December 1. We do not want to block the road again with our ceremony, so we will be adjacent to the new construction with the bridge in the background.

Now is the time to remind people how convenient it is to travel Illinois Highway 161 to/from Marion County and to/from Clinton County. This is an excellent improvement to our region!

I look forward to seeing you all there and I look forward to building our region! Please pass the word along to your offices or representation to attend. If you have any questions, my contact information is below.

Thank you,

Marcus Holland
