Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Christian County?

There were eight offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Christian County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that seven men and one woman were released in Christian County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 43. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 61-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was James R. Evrley. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2013 when he was 31 years old. He is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Christian County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
