City of Carlinville Council met Feb. 3.

PRESENT: Alderman Brockmeier, Alderman Downey, Alderman Howard, Alderman Koller, Alderman Link, Alderman McClain, Alderman Ober, Mayor Deanna Demuzio, City Attorney Dan O’Brien, City Clerk Carla Brockmeier, Police Chief Haley, Zoning Administrator Steve Parr Absent: Alderman Oswald, City Treasurer/Budget Officer Jody Reichmann, Woodard & Curran Representative Dan Held
Approval of Previous Minutes - Motion was made by Alderman McClain to approve minutes, seconded by Ober, motion passed unanimously.
Approval of Bills - Motion made to approve all bills listed by Alderman Downey, seconded by Link, motion passed unanimously.
Correspondence

Alderman Ober made a motion to place both pieces of correspondence listed above on file, seconded by Koller, motion passed unanimously.
Public Comment
John Yowell asked where we were in the Brotze lawsuit. Attorney O’Brien updated, stating we had hired appellate council in December. The case was sent to the appellate court. The appellate court would not hear the case and it has been sent back to Macoupin County, O’Brien stated normal proceedings will now continue.
Old Business
IARWC Update - tabled
Purchase Pick-Up Truck for Campground - Alderman Downey informed the council that the Lake Committee had approved purchase of a pick-up truck for the campground. Their other pick up was beyond repair. The committee only has a 10,000.00 approval, they would like approval of $13,000.00. Downey made the motion to approve spending up to $13,000.00 for a new pick- up for the campground, Koller seconded, motion passed unanimously.
Authorization Agreement for Roof Replacement at City Hall - tabled
New Business - None
Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Downey at 7:14 p.m., seconded by Brockmeier motion passed unanimously.
