34 Clinton County residents in their sixties test positive for COVID-19

As of May 16, there have been 34 Clinton County residents in their sixties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 171 residents in their sixties in the county who had been tested, meaning that 19 percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through May 16, there have been 162 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths from the coronavirus in Clinton County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
