7 Clinton County residents in their seventies test positive for COVID-19

As of April 30, there have been seven Clinton County residents in their seventies who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 35 residents in their seventies in the county who had been tested, meaning that 20 percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through April 30, there have been 106 confirmed COVID-19 cases and three deaths from the coronavirus in Clinton County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
