City of Litchfield City Council met June 4.

Appointment:

1) Henry Eilers appointment to the Henry Eilers Conservation Area (Shoal Creek Barrens Conservations Area). Term to expire May 2023

2) Mark Stieren to the Economic Development Commission. Term to expire May 2024

Other Business:

1. ***A motion to accept the minutes from the May 21, 2020 meeting.

2. ** to be passed only at the first monthly City Council meeting. A motion to direct the City Clerk to transfer funds from the city sales tax to the City�s general fund to issue checks and authorize to pay the bills.

New Business:

1. Lake � Dave Hollo � A motion to accept pay request #4 from Brewster Construction Inc., in the amount of $96,504.81 and authorize the City Clerk to issue the check.

2. Economic Development � Ray Kellenberger � A motion to accept pay request #7 from Kamadulski Excavating and Grading, Inc, in the amount of $137,980.03 and authorize the City Clerk to issue the check.

3. Economic Development � Ray Kellenberger � A motion approve the Downtown Fa�ade Grant application submitted by ECCR Properties for the property located at 307 North State Street for an amount not to exceed $2,946.50 contingent upon the Building Department granting final approval of materials used and work completed and to authorize the City Clerk to issue a check.

4. Economic Development � Ray Kellenberger � A motion to contract Gewalt Hamilton Associates Inc., in the amount of $14,500 for services related to grant preparation for the IDNR LWCF grant and a site-specific Master Plan.

5. Streets � Kassidy Paine � MFT proposal bid opening is scheduled for June 3 and results of bid opening will be presented at the June 4, 2020 City Council meeting for approval.

6. Fire � Woodrow Street � A motion to approve the purchase of a multi-site voting receive, simulcast transmit public safety radio system for the Police and Fire Department from Global Technical Systems Inc., along with PD radios at a cost not to exceed $220,000 and authorize the City Clerk to issue a check upon satisfactory completion.

7. Finance/City Clerk � Dwayne Gerl � A motion to approve an amended Ordinance of the City of Litchfield, Illinois temporarily suspending utility shut offs, late payment fees and credit card payment fees in light of the Covid-19 pandemic and to establish a committee to determine payment plans.
