An agreement recently reached between the Centralia City Council and the Marion County Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) will permit the completion of improvements at the Emergency Operations Center that were stalled by the COVID-19 crisis.
According to reporting by WJB, the memorandum of understanding signed at a recent City Council meeting between the city and the ETSB will provide $35,550. The money is to go toward the completion of renovations to a portion of the old city hall.
The space will be used for a new dispatch area as the building is being converted into a new Emergency Operations Center.
