Analysis: Staunton pays $5.39 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Staunton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.4 percent of the $178,194 the Staunton Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.39 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Staunton contributed $150,341 to the fund, which saw a $1,129 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $27,853, or 15.6 percent, in 2018.
