Analysis: Hillsboro pays $4.90 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hillsboro Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.1 percent of the $228,940 the Hillsboro Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.90 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Hillsboro contributed $190,184 to the fund, which saw a $19,798 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $38,756, or 16.9 percent, in 2018.
