Analysis: Greenville pays $4.16 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Greenville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.6 percent of the $271,979 the Greenville Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.16 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Greenville contributed $219,308 to the fund, which saw a $9,003 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $52,671, or 19.4 percent, in 2018.
