1 Montgomery County resident in forties tests positive for COVID-19 on July 11

One Montgomery County resident in his or her forties tested positive for COVID-19 on July 11, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In total, there have been eight positive cases reported in Montgomery County among residents in their forties, accounting for 11 percent of all cases in the county. Through July 11, Montgomery County has reported a total of 73 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, one of which has ended with the victim's death.

Illinois gathers all of their COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
