Village of Vernon Hills President and Board of Trustees met June 2.

I. President Byrne called the meeting to order at 7: 01 PM.
II. Roll call indicated the following Board Members present: President Byrne, Trustees Koch, Marquardt, Brown, Takaoka, Schultz, and Oppenheim. A quorum was established.
Also present were: Village Manager Fleischhauer, Assistant Village Manager Petrillo, Director of Community Development Atkinson, Chief Kreis, CFO Kyle Cratty, Village Attorney Ferolo, and Recording Secretary Koehl.

Discussion was had regarding the goal types and the manner in which they are secured pertaining to Zach's Law.

I. APPROVAL AND PASSAGE OF RESOLUTION 2020-018 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VERNON HILLS SOCCER GOAL SAFETY AND EDUCATION POLICY
VI. Unfinished/ Additional Business
1. Village Manager Fleischhauer gave an update regarding accommodating the outdoor dining guidelines.
He advised that the Village is working with businesses to assist in obtaining temporary permits, applications have been quickly developed and approvals have already started.
2. Village Manager Fleischhauer discussed the newly developed Illinois bill signed by the Governor allowing the sale of cocktails by bars and restaurants with liquor licenses for pickup and delivery. Board members gave their consensus to allow this in the Village of Vernon Hills, to help our local establishments.
VII. New Business/Communications
1. Trustee Oppenheim relayed information regarding a peaceful protest at Century Park, on June 4th from 1:00-3:00 PM.
