Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Kaskaskia College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Kaskaskia College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois residents paid $7,530 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 63.7 percent more than residents this year, or $12,330. Their price tag was unchanged from $12,330 in 2017-18.

About 98 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Illinois residents. And about 2 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 76 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 91 students received grants or scholarships totaling $504,251 and 14 students took out student loans totaling more than $99,071.

Including all undergraduates (3,164), 1,246 students used grants or scholarships totaling $6.4 million.
