City of Litchfield Council met Aug. 20.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

Appointment:

Public Participation Applicant Comments: Steve and Tammy Estell regarding Lake Lot.

Other Business:

1. ***A motion to accept the minutes from the August 6, 2020 meeting.

2. ** to be passed only at the first monthly City Council meeting. A motion to direct the City Clerk to transfer funds from the city sales tax to the City’s general fund to issue checks and authorize to pay the bills.

New Business:

1. Police – Tim Wright – A motion to approve the purchase of a new HP Computer Server and cost of installation and configuration from Zobrio IT, for $7,342.

2. Lake – Dave Hollo – A motion to contract with Meeco Sullivan, LLC to design, build, deliver and install twelve open boat slips and a connecting walkway in Marina 1 at Lake Lou Yaeger for a cost not to exceed $102,791 and authorize the Mayor to sign the contract.

3. Lake – Dave Hollo – A motion to allow the Litchfield Lake Department to offer for rent the 22’ Homemade Barge to Lake Lot Leaseholders.

4. Economic Development – Ray Kellenberger – A motion to approve a one-third page advertisement in the Illinois Investment Guide/Intersect Illinois September 2020 edition for an amount not to exceed $2,200 and to authorize the City Clerk to issue a check.

5. Economic Development – Ray Kellenberger – Discussion with possible action regarding Ameren Construction Agreement for utilities for the West Side Development.

6. Woodrow Street – Administration - A motion to refund $18,000 to Mid-America Advertising for funds already paid to the City as the City will be unable to convey the requested easement to Mid-America after receiving and reviewing title work relative to the property on which the billboard is erected.

Executive Session

A Motion to Enter into Executive Session, as allowed under the Illinois Open Meetings Act, as found in Chapter 5 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, Section 120, to address these certain and restricted items:

1. “The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the public body…” (5ILCS 120/2(2)(C)(1).

2. “The setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body.” (5ILCS 120/2(2)(6)
