Nashville FPD responds to 35 fires in 2018

Nashville Fire Protection Department responded to 39 calls in 2018 - 29.1 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Nashville included 35 fires - 17 structure fires, five vehicle fires and 13 other fires.

In all, the department saw $860,500 in fire loss - or about $24,586 per fire.

The department also received four false calls.

The Nashville Fire Protection Department had an annual budget of $238,369 in 2018.
