Fillmore Fire Protection District responded to 14 calls in 2018 - 27.3 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Fillmore included 14 fires - nine structure fires and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $70,400 in fire loss - or about $5,029 per fire.

The Fillmore Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $50,065 in 2018.
