Sandoval Fire Protection District responded to 15 calls in 2018 - 70.6 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Sandoval included 15 fires - nine structure fires, three vehicle fires and three other fires.

In all, the department saw $217,600 in fire loss - or about $14,507 per fire.

The Sandoval Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $192,287 in 2018.
