Unit 7 Fire Protection District responded to 53 calls in 2018 - 24.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Unit 7 included 45 fires - 19 structure fires, five vehicle fires and 21 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $237,550 in fire loss - or about $5,279 per fire.

The department also received seven false calls, including five malicious calls and two other false calls.

One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.

The Unit 7 Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $152,193 in 2018.
