Twenty tracts of productive farmland in Illinois’ Montgomery and St. Clair counties ranging from 1 to 126 acres go on the auction block on Saturday, March 27.
The approximately 900 acres of land will include 2021 farming rights and includes 725 acres of tillable land, Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company said in a February release. The company is marketing the land and will conduct the auction. Some of the tracts include both wooded areas and tillable land.
"This land is well suited to either local operators or to investors, and our system of bidding enables bidders to make offers on any combination of tracts based on their needs," R.D. Schrader, president of the auction company, said in the release.
A tract with a grain facility that has storage for approximately 100,000 bushels and a modern shop is part of the auction, Schrader agent Brad Horrall said in the release.
Schrader personnel will provide information and arrange inspections at The Event Center of Montgomery County, 11198 IL Rt. 185, Hillsboro, Illinois, on March 12 and March 26. Visit www.schraderauction.com for details.
Online bidding will be available to those who register a week ahead of the auction by calling 800-451-2709.
