Republican candidate for Sawyerville Village president Chris Hicks thinks the abuse of power allegations levied against Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Rockford) over his alleged involvement with a Russian beauty queen should be investigated.

“This is not the first time I've heard of these allegations,” Hicks told the South Central Reporter. “I would like to say I'm surprised that Kinzinger doesn't respect women but his actions paint a much different picture of the Congressman.”

The National File reports Russian immigrant beauty queen Olga Kambod insists she engaged in a four-month long relationship with the Illinois congressman and anti-Trump Republican right around the same time she was offered an internship with his office back in 2018.

Over that time, Kambod alleges she said she sent racy photos to the lawmaker at his request, going as far as providing reporters with “extensive communications” she argues back up her claims of the relationship.

The publication reported the exchanges between Kambod and an old phone number once linked to Kinzinger were “sexually charged and volatile text massages.”

Kambod also provided emails from Kinzinger’s congressional staff discussing what were to be her internship duties.

“If Kinzinger abused his power as congressman, he should resign,” added Hicks, who is also running for a spot on the Gillespie School Board and currently serves as a GOP precinct committeeman. “If Kinzinger fails to acknowledge wrongdoing, appropriate disciplinary actions should be taken against him.”

Kambod told the National File the relationship between she and Kinzinger started to deteriorate after she accused him of suffering from “low levels of testosterone.”

She never served the internship and claims before long she was receiving threatening phone calls from someone claiming to be “Capitol Police” as part of what she sees as an effort to silence her.

Kambod, who reportedly graduated from law school and worked for a criminal defense attorney, was recently in the news for surviving an acid attack that left her permanently scarred.

“If the allegations are true, the undocumented Democrat should resign immediately,” Hicks added. “If the allegations are true, Kinzinger overstepped his authority.”
