E. Superintendent Report
Calendar – Working with the staff on the calendar for 2021/2022 school year.
Covid 19 Update
Sports – Sports are continuing with fans limited to 2 guests per player.
Prom/Graduation – We are making plans for an informal outdoor prom the last weekend of April. We have no definitive plans for graduation and are waiting for guidance from the State.
End of Year Activities – We are trying to keep all activities going with minor adjustments.
New Guidelines from CDC – the CDC has stated that close contact quarantine is no longer necessary as long as you have gotten both COVID vaccinations. IDPH has not adopted this but we look for this to be adopted soon.
Compliments to our students and staff – Students, parents and staff are still continuing with the safety routines and our spread is low in the district.
Math Textbook Adoption – We reviewed 3 series of math textbooks. We have narrowed it down to 2 and will be making a decision on the March 19 work/planning day.
Agendas - Attached are the administration and faculty meeting agendas.
HVAC – the H/L/S renovation at the MS is estimated to cost around $283,000. We have $280,000 built in our budget for this. It will replace units in the Cafeteria, north part of the old JH side of the building, the band room and the north gym.
F. Principals’ Report
WHS – Excited to see sports taking off. Pleasantly surprised by the many candidates that applied for the open teaching positions for next school year. Staff continue to work hard filling in the gaps to make the day seemless.
NB – Thanks to our maintenance staff for getting the grounds cleared of snow so quickly. Parents are still taking the procedures seriously.
TE – Birth of 3 screening will start next week. This will be virtual. Read Across America will begin next week including all of the dress up days that go along with it.
Special ED – Annual reviews will start in two weeks.
