Report: Nokomis School District spent $8,346 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Nokomis Community Unit School District 22 was up 4.8 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Montgomery County school district spent $7,965 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $8,346 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 640 to 626 students over the same period.

Nokomis's spending in 2019-20 was 42.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
