Report: Bond County School District spent $9,783 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Bond County Community Unit School District 2 was up 10.7 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Bond County school district spent $8,839 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,783 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,901 to 1,714 students over the same period.

Bond County's spending in 2019-20 was 32.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
