Report: Mount Olive School District spent $11,112 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Mount Olive Community Unit School District 5 was up 15.4 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Macoupin County school district spent $9,631 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,112 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 494 to 446 students over the same period.

Mount Olive's spending in 2019-20 was 23.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
