Report: Centralia School District spent $15,337 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Centralia High School District 200 was up 13.7 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Marion County school district spent $13,488 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,337 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 931 to 874 students over the same period.

Centralia's spending in 2019-20 was 5.8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
