Report: Carlinville School District spent $7,735 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Carlinville Community Unit School District 1 was up 2.5 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Macoupin County school district spent $7,549 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $7,735 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,466 to 1,373 students over the same period.

Carlinville's spending in 2019-20 was 46.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
