Report: Pana School District spent $9,231 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Pana Community Unit School District 8 was down 0.5 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Christian County school district spent $9,278 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,231 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,314 to 1,242 students over the same period.

Pana's spending in 2019-20 was 36.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
