City of Centralia Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee met Feb. 10.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Present: Patton, Lawson, Graham, and Young

CRC Ex Director Germann

CRC – Allen

City – Harting absent

Youth – Williams - absent

Absent: Agee, Border, and Garrett

Public Participation: None

Approval of Minutes: Melissa Patton made the motion to approve the minutes as presented and Young seconded. Motion carried with unanimously.

Treasurers Report: Report was given by Jack Graham. Motion was made by Graham to accept the report and Patton seconded. Motion passed.

Monthly Reports:

1. CRD report

a. Scott Allen presented the summer flier to the committee for review. This flier will be distributed to all area schools.

b. Scott Allen reported to the board that he had spoken with Galen Mahle with the Clinton County League, and we will be participating in that league for the 5/6 grade baseball and softball teams. Their season begins in May and ends in early July.

c. Scott reported that the Adult Flag football league will be starting in March playing at Rotary Park. Jack agreed to assist in helping line the field the first time.

d. Sonya announced that they are taking applications for summer help at Rotary Park.

2. Youth Center

a. Lawson reported that the Youth Center is still taking entries for the Wall of Honor. They are due on February 11th.

3. No City reports

Adjournment:

Calvin Lawson made the motion to adjourn, and Young seconded the motion. The motion carried.
