Analysis: Nashville administrators rank 129th in state for average pay

Administrators in Nashville Community High School District 99 earn an average of $125,560 per year, ranking 129th out of 864 districts in Illinois, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2020 average is 20.9 percent higher than in 2016 and 22.4 percent higher than in 2011. District administrators make 12.8 percent more than the state average of $111,293.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Nashville School District in Washington County enrolled 419 students in 2019-2020. There is an average of 210 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 171 to 1.
