Iuka Community Consolidated School District 7 Board met July 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Meeting was called to order by President Kevin Cripps at 6:59 p.m. Members present were Kevin Cripps, Sandi Wilson, Josh Harris, Chad Eagan, and Randi Dasch. Also present were Superintendent Sam Alli, Board Clerk Stephanie Dodson and Barbara Cleary.

Motion by Randi Dasch and seconded Sandi Wilson to approve the agenda. Roll call vote:

Motion by Josh Harris and seconded by Chad Eagan to approve the following consent agenda items:

6.1A Shall the Board approve the minutes from the June 30, 2022 Public Hearing Meeting and Regular Board Meeting?

6.1B Shall the Board approve the bills as presented?

6.1C Shall the Board approve the payroll?

6.1D Shall the Board approve the Treasurer’s Report?

6.1E Shall the Board destroy verbatim Closed Session minutes up to 18 months back?

Motion by Randi Dasch and seconded by Josh Harris to enter into Executive Session at 7:02 p.m. to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity and collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives. Mr. Alli discussed the current Renovation Work to the Office Area. Current Change order to floor reduced from $5000 to $2200.00 after discussion with Architect. A few cosmetic issues to resolve with the Architect. New Security System for Doors and Key Fobs given out to employees.

Mr. Alli discussed the Activity Bus and 3 New Buses being purchased. Board Tabled the discussion for now.

Mr. Alli informed the Board about the Summer Library Program. Great turnout around 30-50 kids per week.

Mr. Alli recognized summer staff members Gage Eddings and Mckenna Smith. They are doing a great job helping out Rick and Stacey.

Mr. Alli recognized the office staff and Custodial Staff for all their patience and support through the renovation project. They have done a very good job juggling the renovation and Regular Summer Work.

Registration is today July 25, 2022 and July 26, 2022.

Swim Party set for August 12th, 2022 for 8-9:30 p.m.

Open House set for August 16th, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

First Day of staff August 15th, 2022

First Day of School August 16th, 2022

Next Board meeting is August 15th at 7:00 p.m.
