Macoupin County Board Finance Committee met Nov. 10.

1. American Rescue Plan Requests - November 2022
Duncan passed out the requests for the month, all from townships. There was a question about Staunton's township request for a waste treatment system and if it was for the whole township or just the township building.
Motion by Armour, seconded by Stayton to recommend the requests pending confirmation from the Staunton township on their request.

2. Initial Discussion of 2023 Property Tax Levy
Thomas said that the official tax levy hearing would be next month but this was informational discussion. Duncan said this year the PTELL limit was 5%, which would be about $260,000 for the county levy potentially. It would be up to the Board to decide if they wanted to keep the levy flat, increase it some, or increase it the full amount. Thomas said he had a discussion with the Assessor's office and it looked like there would be a 6% multiplier on township assessments.
