City of Litchfield City Council met Jan. 5.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Steven Dougherty called the Regular Meeting to order at 6: 30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Present on roll call were Alderpersons Dwayne Gerl, Dave Hollo, Dan Newkirk, Kassidy Paine, Timothy Wright, Woodrow Street, and Ray Kellenberger. Absent: Marilyn Sisson. The Mayor declared that a quorum was present.
City Clerk Carol Burke swore in Volunteer Firefighter Edward Quinn.
The Mayor read a proclamation which recognized the retirement of Rhonda Weatherford after 24- 1/ 2 years of service to the City of Litchfield.
Other Business:
Alderperson Gerl made a motion, seconded by Alderperson Kellenberger to accept the minutes from the December 15, 2022 meeting.
The Mayor directed a roll call vote.
Aye: Gerl, Hollo, Newkirk, Paine, Wright, Street, Kellenberger.
Nay: None.
Absent: Sisson.
Motion carried.
Alderperson Wright made a motion, seconded by Alderperson Newkirk to direct the City Clerk to transfer funds from the city sales tax to the City' s general fund to issue checks and authorize to pay the bills and process payroll.
The Mayor directed a roll call vote.
Aye: Gerl, Hollo, Newkirk, Paine, Wright, Street, Kellenberger.
Nay: None.

New Business:
Wastewater Treatment:
Alderperson Gerl made a motion, seconded by Alderperson Paine to approve the purchase of two 2) replacement backwash pumps and one ( 1) connection flange from Missouri Machinery in the amount of$ 16, 814 for the Wastewater Treatment Facility and authorize the City Clerk to issue a check.
The Mayor directed a roll call vote.
Aye: Gerl, Hollo, Newkirk, Paine, Wright, Street, Kellenberger.
Nay: None.

Police:
Alderperson Newkirk made a motion, seconded by Alderperson Hollo to approve the purchase and installation of Autovu SharpV Generic Camera kit and installation from Utilitra for $12,811.19.
The Mayor directed a roll call vote.
Aye: Gerl, Hollo, Newkirk, Paine, Wright, Street, Kellenberger.
Nay: None.

Motion carried.
Streets:
Alderperson Street made a motion, seconded by Alderperson Wright to approve the purchase of an Xtreme Vac Trailer Mounted Leaf/Debris machine via Sourcewell from Armor Equipment for an amount not to exceed $ 120, 800 and authorize the City Clerk to issue a check upon satisfactory delivery.
The Mayor directed a roll call vote.

Nay: None.

Executive Session:
Alderperson Newkirk made a motion, seconded by Alderperson Kellenberger to enter into Executive Session, as allowed under the Illinois Open Meetings Act, as found in Chapter 5 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, Section 120, to address these certain and restricted items:
1. " The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the public body..."( 5ILCS 120/ 2( 2)( C)( 1).
2. " The setting of aprice for sale or lease of property owned by the public body." ( 5ILCS 120/ 2( 2)( 6)
The Mayor directed a roll call vote.

Nay: None.
Absent: Sisson.

Executive Session was entered into at 6: 44 p.m.
Alderperson Street made a motion, seconded by Alderperson Kellenberger to return to regular session at 7: 40 p.m.

New Business:
Alderperson Hollo made a motion, seconded by Alderperson Kellenberger to accept the bid of 160, 000 for Lot# 32 at Eagle Ridge Subdivision.

Nay: None.
