City of Assumption Zoning Board met June 13.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
Zoning Board Acting Chairman Joe Mink called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Roll call was answered by Zoning Board Members Joe Mink, Herb Palmer and Betty Park. Also present was Mayor Page, Bob Bantner Building Inspector and Clerk/Secretary Janet Waller.
Absent were Zoning Board Members Dan Davis, Brian Hiler, Adam Snively and Matt Williams.
Present in the audience was John Kiefer.

The purpose of the meeting was for a 1 and ½ foot variance for 402 W Illinois Street for a garage.
The committee looked at a drawing. The committee did not have a quorum and Mayor Page will ask the council to vote on the variance since there was no quorum.
A 3 foot variance for an open porch with a roof for 411 W Second Street was also discussed. A drawing was looked at by the committee. Mayor Page will have the council vote on the variance since there was no quorum.
Chairman Mink discussed the attendance of the committee members and noted the importance of the meetings. It was also suggested calling members in advance of scheduling a date for a meeting.
Chairman Joe Mink adjourned the meeting at 6:42 pm.
