Macoupin County Board General Administrative Committee met Aug. 3.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

I. CALL TO ORDER

PRESENT: Dunnagan, Stayton, Adden, Ibberson, Kiel, Blank, Tiburzi, Hatlee, Wolf

ABSENT: Acord, Kilduff

II. AGENDA ITEMS

1. Approve Draft Agenda for August Full Board Meeting

Motion by Stayton, seconded by Adden to approve the draft agenda for August full Board meeting.

RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]

MOVER: Aaron Stayton, Vice Chair

SECONDER: Ross Adden, Board Member

AYES: Dunnagan, Stayton, Adden, Ibberson, Kiel

ABSENT: Acord, Kilduff

2. Non-Union Employee Time Sheets

Motion by Kiel, seconded by Stayton to approve the timesheets.

RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]

MOVER: Bernie Kiel, Member

SECONDER: Aaron Stayton, Vice Chair

AYES: Dunnagan, Stayton, Adden, Ibberson, Kiel

ABSENT: Acord, Kilduff

3. Public Transportation Program Update

Public Health Department CEO Blank updated the board on their administration and budget. All discussed possible grants ensure continued service for health care and transportation programs. Adden asked if more detailed information is available on the transportation program. Blank said they would gather more data on trip numbers and fairs collected and that CFO Sanson would be able to update the full board with more information since she was unavailable for this committee’s meeting. Blank said they would like to continue to update the board on a regular basis to increase transparency with the board and the public.

All talked about budgetary concerns and the recent unionization of transportation workers.

All discussed details of providing safe and effective transportation program services at prices low enough for those that need the program can afford, while remaining financially sound. Blank and Tiburzi outline some of the basic guidelines for the transportation program including changes to prices and routes. All discussed plans for publication of program changes to inform the public and increase ridership.

Blank asked about details on the EAVs for the public health department and wanted clarification on the allocation of tax funds for their programs. Members would follow up with more details from the County Clerk’s Office.
